Who gets a seat at the table?
The Ecofeminist Dinner Party series consist of a performative and participatory ritual grounded in personal stories with food serving as an entry point for sharing emotional narratives.
As part of her MA in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins in London Clemence Vazard wrote a research paper entitled « The Ecofeminist Dinner Party, A quest for the binding agent between feminism and ecology within participatory art practice ».
Echoing this research, Vazard hosts dinners and invites at the table women, transgender, and non-binary people, creating a moment to gather around food and nurture each other with exchange of knowledges, thoughts, experiences, and emotions. The goal here is to experiment a meaningful encounter that could led to a sense of community and belonging.
